Wildlife of the Amazon Part 1: Mammals

Wildlife of the Amazon Rainforest Part 1: Mammals
We have the great privilege of being one of the few to run volunteer abroad programs in Guyana's unspoiled Amazon rainforest. Guyana's Amazon is the most northern reach of the Amazon Basin and also some of the last untouched tropical rainforest in the world. Being in Guyana is always a pleasure and you never know which animals you encounter. Whenever we think we have seen it all some interesting animals introduces itself that we had no clue of even existed.

Why pay to volunteer?

This is the first question people ask themselves after they come to realize that volunteering most often is not for free. For some this seems too much as would anyone givn up their time (and in some cases job) to volunteer for free. Then it is of course a good question to ask; why pay to volunteeer abroad and where does the money go?

Halloween's Scariest Wildlife!

But we don't have to look out for monsters of other planets, fantasy or other dimensions to get a good scare!

Reasons to Volunteer!

In this Blog post we will go over the subject of why you would like to volunteer abroad and why this is important for choosing your volunteer opportunity.

Why would you like to volunteer? This question seems perhaps straight forward but your motives are very important when choosing the right project for yourself and is something you should really consider.
