Madagascar is the world 3rd largest island (not counting Greenland) and a very special island it is indeed! With most of its wildlife being completely indigenous it is quite a different destination from your mainland safari countries. With indigenous wildlife like Lemurs, Chameleons and Fossa's as well as many other countless species of birds and other wildlife like Nile Crocodiles Madagascar is a haven for wildlife lovers. However Madagascar is in need as in the last few decades much of the forest and jungles have been cut down in an alarming rate.
