As a volunteer at Volunteer & Surf this was the most enthralling volunteer and adventure experience I could imagine. I recently had the pleasure of leading a group down for the last stages of their playground construction in March of 2011. The projects local knowledge and connection to the community is inspiring and we felt very in touch with our volunteer experience by construction the playground and teaching the local school children. The experience with the project included daily surf lessonsand by the second day I was riding the waves in by myself. I am an adventure seeker so I was really pumped to go zip lining, caving with bats, snorkeling, and kayaking around the bay.

Hey Patrick

Sorry it took a bit for me to get back to you and yes I can right a short summary for you.
I went to Bocas Del Toro Panama for the month of January.  The weather was great this time of year because it didn't rain too often.  This experience is one that I won't forget. I loved the people and children I volunteered with.  While I was there I got to help with teaching, lesson planning, and painting the library. We also spent our spare time at the beach, caving, snorkeling, and other fun stuff.  The children are adorable and so much fun to play with.  Occasionally the language barrier was hard but you can get by fine without knowing Spanish. It was a fun relaxing experience and I'm glad I did it.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you
Shara from the USA
